The 44mm round badge, in detail
44mm is the compact badge. It carries a logo, a short name, or a single line of text — and because it is smaller and lighter, it pins to a shirt or a lapel without pulling at the fabric the way a larger badge can. It is the size to choose when the badge is being worn all day rather than displayed.
Construction is identical to our 58mm: a stamped steel shell, printed artwork, a clear mylar seal, and a back plate with a rust-free steel pin, all crimped together in one press stroke.

44mm or 58mm?
Choose 44mm when the badge is worn: staff name badges for a shift, volunteer identification across a multi-day event, school house badges, lapel pins for a conference. It sits flatter, weighs less, and reads as more formal.
Choose 58mm when the badge is the message: merchandise, campaign and awareness pins, fandom sets, anything with a photograph, or any design that needs both an image and a line of text. A photo at 44mm rarely survives the reduction.
A practical test — write out the longest word your design has to carry. If it is more than about nine characters and it has to be the main element, go to 58mm.

Volunteer and staff badges for college fests and conferences, where a few hundred are pinned on for two days. Retail and restaurant staff name badges. School reading, house and monitor badges. Awareness ribbons and cause pins, where the smaller size reads as more restrained. Wedding party identification for ushers and coordinators. And pin sets from independent artists, where 44mm keeps the price per piece low enough to sell in threes and fours.
Preparing artwork
Send at 300 DPI or higher — JPG, PNG, PDF or AI. Design to a 57mm canvas and treat the outer 6.5mm as bleed; background should run right to the edge of that circle because the ring wraps around the dome and vanishes from the front view.
The smaller face is less forgiving than 58mm, so two things matter more. First, simplify: a logo with fine detail or thin strokes will lose that detail at 44mm, and a simplified mark reads better than a faithful one. Second, size type up — text that looks comfortable on screen is usually a step too small once it is 44mm wide in someone's hand.
Printing is CMYK, so very saturated screen colours can shift slightly, and neons and metallics cannot be reproduced. Send CMYK values if a brand colour has to be exact.
Bulk pricing
Rates step down at each quantity tier, with the biggest drop between a small order and the first bulk tier, since print setup rather than materials drives the cost at low volumes. Current tiers are in the price box at the top of this page.
Multiple designs can share one order at the combined-quantity rate — the usual pattern for events, where each committee or department gets its own badge but the order is placed once.
Production and delivery
Standard delivery is 5–7 business days from artwork approval. Express delivery of 2–3 days is available for select pin codes; send us your pin code and event date before ordering and we will confirm what we can actually meet.

How they hold up
The mylar film absorbs the scuffing, so the print stays clean through a long event and a long time in a drawer afterwards. The steel shell will not crack under pressure. The pin is rust-free, which matters for a badge that gets worn in Chennai humidity. Avoid soaking them — the face is water-resistant, but the crimped edge is not watertight.
