This is our highest-volume component

58mm is the size most badge businesses sell most of, so it is the set we keep the deepest stock of and the one with the lowest per-piece price at volume. If you are pressing your own badges commercially, this is almost certainly the first thing you should be buying in thousands rather than hundreds.

You cannot assemble these by hand

The crimp that curls the shell over the back plate needs a press — there is no way to close a badge without one, and no amount of pressing by hand will do it. The press must also be a 58mm press: dies are size-specific, and a 44mm machine will not take these components.

Cutting matters more than people expect

Print your artwork as a 68mm circle, not 58mm. The extra 10mm of diameter is what wraps around the dome and disappears from the front view, and a circle cut at 58mm will leave bare metal showing at the edge of every badge you press.

Use a proper 68mm circle cutter. A hand-cut circle a millimetre out is the single commonest cause of wasted components — it either crimps unevenly or jams the die.

Who buys them

Printers and stationery shops with a press on the counter. Event and college suppliers pressing on site. Schools running craft programmes. Home badge businesses, for whom this is the main running cost after the machine.

Ordering

Sold per set, priced in tiers that start at 100 and drop again at 500, 1,000 and 2,000 — the economics of pressing your own only work at volume and the tiers are built to reward it. Standard delivery 5–7 business days, 2–3 day express to select pin codes. Tell us the quantity and we will confirm stock before you order.
