The 58mm round badge, in detail
58mm is the size most people picture when they hear "button badge" — large enough to carry a logo and a line of text that stays readable at arm's length, small enough to pin to a lanyard, a shirt pocket or a tote bag without dragging the fabric down. It is the size we press most, and the one we keep the deepest stock of raw materials for.
Each badge is built from four parts: a stamped steel shell, your printed artwork, a clear mylar film that seals the face, and a back plate carrying a rust-free steel pin. A hand press curls all four together in a single stroke, which is why the edge is smooth and there is no seam to catch on clothing.

What people order these for
College symposiums and cultural fests are our steadiest use — one badge design per committee, printed in the hundreds, handed out at registration. Schools order them for house days, sports meets and reading clubs. Corporate teams use them for induction days, product launches and internal campaigns where a lanyard card would feel too formal.
Outside events, the 58mm round is the default for merchandise: band and film fandom badges, cause and awareness pins, temple and church festival badges, political and union campaigns, and the pin sets that independent artists sell alongside prints. Wedding and reception favours are a growing share, usually a photo of the couple with the date under it.
Preparing artwork
Send a square or circular file at 300 DPI or higher. We accept JPG, PNG, PDF and AI. If you are designing to the exact size, build your canvas at 68mm and treat the outer 5mm as bleed — background colour and imagery should run all the way to the edge of that 68mm circle, because that ring is what wraps around the curve and disappears from the front view.
The two mistakes we see most often are text placed too close to the edge, which curves away and becomes hard to read, and low-resolution logos pulled from a website. A logo that looks crisp on screen at 200 pixels wide will print soft at 58mm. If you only have a small file, send it anyway — we will tell you honestly whether it will hold up, and our design team can redraw a simple logo cleanly.
Colour is printed in CMYK. Screens show colour in RGB, so very bright blues, greens and oranges can shift slightly between what you see on your monitor and what comes off the press. Neons and metallics cannot be reproduced in CMYK at all. If an exact brand colour matters, tell us the CMYK values rather than the hex code.
Bulk pricing
Badge pricing falls in steps rather than continuously, because most of the cost sits in setting up the print rather than in the badge itself. The per-piece rate drops at each quantity tier, and the largest drop is between a small order and the first bulk tier — so if you are close to the next tier, the extra badges often cost very little. Mixed designs are welcome inside one order. If you need six committee designs at fifty badges each, that is a 300-piece order at the 300-piece rate, not six separate small orders.
Production and delivery
Standard delivery is 5–7 business days from artwork approval. Express delivery of 2–3 days is available for select pin codes — message us with your pin code before ordering if you are working to a fixed event date, and we will confirm what is realistic rather than guess.
We are based in Villivakkam, Chennai, and ship across India. Chennai customers are welcome to collect from the workshop.
How they hold up
The mylar film is the reason these last. It takes the scuffs that would otherwise land on the printed paper, so a badge that has lived in a bag for a year still reads cleanly. The shell is steel, so it will not crack if it is dropped or sat on. The one thing to avoid is soaking — the badge is water-resistant on the face but the paper inside is not sealed at the crimp, so it should not go through a wash.
