A button-press keychain: the same steel shell and full-colour printed face as our badges, sealed under mylar, finished with a split ring instead of a pin. Light, hard to damage, and priced for handing out in quantity.
We make a 58mm round keychain and a 44mm bottle-opener keychain that adds an opener to the ring — the second is the one people actually keep, because it earns its place on a keyring by being useful.
Why a pressed keychain rather than acrylic
Most cheap custom keychains are printed acrylic or laminated card. Both scratch, and both eventually delaminate at the edge where a key has rubbed against them a few thousand times. A pressed keychain puts a steel shell under the print and a mylar film over it, so the layer taking the abuse is not the layer carrying the image. It also cannot snap, which acrylic does the first time it is sat on.
Who orders them
Return gifts for weddings and birthdays, where a keychain gets used in a way that a decorative favour does not. College fest merchandise and department souvenirs, usually one design per year and printed in the hundreds. Hostel and alumni keepsakes for outgoing batches.
On the commercial side: showroom and dealership giveaways handed over with a vehicle, cab and travel operators leaving one with each customer, real-estate and insurance agents, and small local businesses — tuition centres, gyms, service shops — that want a phone number on something a customer physically holds every day rather than on a card that goes in a bin.
Preparing artwork
Send at 300 DPI or higher in JPG, PNG, PDF or AI. Build to a 68mm circle for the 58mm keychain and treat the outer 5mm as bleed, since that ring wraps around the dome and is not visible head-on.
Two things matter more here than on a badge. Simplify detailed logos — fine strokes and small tag lines disappear once the design is 58mm across and moving in someone's hand. And if a phone number is the point of the keychain, set it as the largest element rather than tucking it under a logo; at this size you get one thing that reads instantly, so choose which.
Printing is full-colour CMYK. Bright screen colours can shift slightly, and neons and metallics cannot be matched — send CMYK values if a brand colour has to be exact.
Pricing and delivery
Per-piece rates fall at each quantity tier, with the sharpest drop between a small order and the first bulk tier, since print setup rather than materials drives the cost at low volumes. Designs can be mixed inside one order at the combined-quantity rate.
Standard delivery is 5–7 business days from artwork approval, with 2–3 day express to select pin codes.
