Custom printed bottle openers — magnet and keychain
A printed bottle opener is one of the few promotional items that does not end up in a drawer, because it replaces a tool people already need. We make two: a 58mm bottle opener with a magnet back that lives on the fridge door, and a 44mm bottle opener keychain that goes on a keyring.
Both carry the same full-colour printed face as our badges, sealed under mylar over a steel shell, so the artwork survives the handling that a printed sticker would not.
Which of the two to order
The magnet version is the better keepsake. It lives on the fridge door, face out, which means the printed design is visible every day rather than buried in a pocket — the reason bars and beverage brands almost always choose it. The keychain version is the better giveaway: smaller, lighter, cheaper to post in quantity, and it leaves with the person rather than staying in one kitchen.
If you are ordering for a venue, the magnet. If you are ordering to hand out at a stall or an event, the keychain. Plenty of customers take both in one order and pay the combined-quantity rate.
Who orders them
Bars, breweries, restaurants and cafés brand them for customers and for staff. Beverage distributors send them out with orders. Corporate teams use them as conference giveaways, where an opener gets kept and a pen does not. They also do well as groomsmen and bachelor-party gifts, and as merchandise for bands, breweries and events — an opener with artwork on it sells at a stall in a way a plain badge sometimes does not.
Preparing artwork
Send at 300 DPI or higher — JPG, PNG, PDF or AI. Keep the design centred and clear of the edge: the outer ring wraps around the curve of the shell and is not visible head-on, so anything important placed there will be lost.
Bear in mind the opener lug sits at the edge of the piece, so a design with a strong single focal point in the middle works better than one built around a border or a circular frame. Printing is full-colour CMYK — very saturated screen colours may shift slightly, and neons and metallics cannot be reproduced.
Pricing and delivery
Rates step down at each quantity tier, with the biggest drop between a small order and the first bulk tier, and designs can be mixed inside a single order at the combined rate.
