College Fest & Symposium Badges

One design per committee, printed in the hundreds and handed out at registration — the single most common order we press, and the one with the tightest deadline.

Badges for college fests and symposiums

This is the order we press most: one design per committee, fifty to a couple of hundred each, needed by a date that does not move. Registration, hospitality, technical, cultural, sponsorship, media — each with its own badge so anyone can see who to ask.

Why the combined rate matters here

Six committee designs at fifty badges each is a 300-piece order at the 300-piece rate — not six separate 50-piece orders at the 50-piece rate. The difference on a fest order is substantial, and it is the single thing most student organisers do not realise before they ask for quotes.

Order all committees together, even if the designs are still being finalised for some of them.

What to order

58mm round is the default: enough room for the fest logo, the committee name and a college crest, and large enough to read across a crowded hall.

44mm round is the budget option for large volunteer counts, where the badge is identification rather than merchandise.

Hook badges are worth considering if volunteers will be in t-shirts issued by the fest — no pin holes in a shirt someone paid for out of the committee budget.

Keychains and bottle openers are what sell at the merchandise stall, if the fest has one. Badges get given away; keychains get bought.

Deadlines, honestly

Standard delivery is 5–7 business days from artwork approval — and artwork approval, on a fest order, is the step that slips. Designs go through a committee, someone wants the sponsor logo bigger, and a week disappears.

Express delivery of 2–3 days is available to select pin codes. Send us your fest date and pin code before ordering and we will tell you the real last date for artwork rather than a comfortable one.

Artwork from a student design team

Send at 300 DPI or higher in JPG, PNG, PDF or AI. Build to a 68mm circle for 58mm badges and treat the outer 5mm as bleed — the commonest mistake we see on fest artwork is a design laid out to 58mm, which loses its outer ring around the dome.

Sponsor logos pulled from a website are usually too low-resolution to print at this size. Ask the sponsor for the original file early; it takes longer to get than you expect.
